The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is an official  auxiliary of The Lutheran
Church—Missouri Synod. Since 1942, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

For more information about the national LWML, see its website.

Mission Statement
As Lutheran Women in Mission, we joyfully proclaim Christ, support missions, and equip women to honor God by serving others.

Vision Statement
The LWML is the leading group for LCMS women where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness.

At Grace Lutheran Church
The LWML meets the third Friday of the month for a get-together at 5:00 p.m. Each quarter has one spiritual offering meeting, one social function and one business meeting. Meetings last about an hour and are followed with a light meal.

LWML Activities
at Grace Lutheran Church
  • Grace’s LWML has an active group of quilters. They gather Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and work on quilt preparation until noon. You do not have to be a member of the congregation to be a quilter. Grace donates approximately 150 quilts to Lutheran World Relief annually
  • The LWML also gathers school supplies in the fall for World Relief (approximately 80 each year).
  • The LWML also gathers Personal Care Kits in the spring for World Relief (approximately 80 each year).

Other activities have included a fall bazaar, a garage sale, casserole sales for the elderly and other requesting same, a sweetheart candy sale in February, and a Christmas bake sale. We recently hosted the Texas Capitol Zone spring rally where approximately 60 LWML members across the Zone participated.
